Stage curtains provide designers an environment within which there are no distracting elements other than the entertainment itself. Stage curtain fabrics all have a matte finish so they won't reflect light.

Velvet
Velvet is a regular suede effect, the pile is longer, there is a certain gloss.
Cotton Velveteen
Cotton Velveteen is made by a process called right-angle needle drawing, which has a cotton texture, and this gives the fabric a matte finish.
Both Velvet and Cotton Velveteen are knitted.
Dimout
Dimout Curtains are woven,this makes this fabric very different from other styles.The surface of this fabric is very smooth.
