Stage curtains are the backbone of any professional performance venue. Unlike residential curtains, stage drapes must deliver on three non-negotiable criteria: flame retardancy, complete light blocking, and acoustic performance. From grand opera houses and Broadway theaters to school auditoriums, conference halls, and live event venues, every stage relies on curtains to shape the audience's visual experience, conceal backstage operations, and control lighting and sound.
We manufacture and supply the full spectrum of stage curtain fabrics and ready-made drapes - from heavyweight IFR velour main travelers to lightweight dimout masking borders. Every fabric in our catalog is inherently flame retardant (IFR) and certified to international fire safety standards including NFPA 701, BS 5867, DIN 4102-B1, and EN 13773.
Full customization is standard: specify your dimensions, choose your fabric weight and color, select your header and track system, and we deliver. Whether you need a single replacement border or a complete 30-drape auditorium package, we handle it end to end.
Fabric Specifications
All fabrics are 100% Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR) Polyester - the flame-retardant property is chemically bonded at the molecular level during fiber production and will not wash out or degrade over time.

FAQ
Q: 1. What is the difference between IFR and FR curtains?
A: IFR (Inherently Flame Retardant) means the fire-resistant property is chemically bonded to the polyester fiber during production - it is permanent and never washes out. FR (Flame Retardant) is a topical chemical treatment applied after weaving that degrades over time, especially after cleaning, and typically requires re-certification every 3 years.
Q: 2. Which fabric weight should I choose for a main traveler?
A: For a professional main traveler, we recommend 23 oz (480 gsm) IFR velour or cotton velveteen. This heavyweight construction provides maximum opacity (>98% light block), rich drape, and superior acoustic absorption. For budget or smaller venues, 20 oz (420 gsm) is a solid alternative.
Q: 3. What fullness ratio do you recommend?
A: Standard masking (legs & borders): 50–100% fullness. Main traveler: 100–150%. Premium / opera house: 200% (3:1 ratio - 3m of fabric per 1m finished width). Higher fullness improves light blocking, acoustic performance, and visual luxury.
Q: 4. Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
A: Yes - free A4 fabric swatches (up to 5 codes). You cover the courier fee, which is fully deductible from your first order. For color matching, send us a Pantone code or physical sample and we will produce a lab dip for approval.
Q: 5.What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: Stock fabrics: 100 m per code for CHV011 (wide-width velvet); 500 m for most other codes. Custom dyeing: 1,000 m per color. For ready-made curtains, the MOQ is 2 pieces per size and color.
Q: 6.Do you provide installation hardware?
A: Yes. We supply complete track systems including aluminum tracks, carriers, pulleys, cord sets, and motor units (for motorized systems). We can also provide installation drawings and remote technical support.
Q: 7.How do you handle wide stages without seams?
A: Our CHV011 (300 cm wide) fabric can cover heights up to 10 m without horizontal seams. For extra-wide stages, we use vertical panel joining with blind-stitch seams that are invisible from the audience. Full-width cycloramas use seamless muslin up to 10 m height.
Q: 8.What certification documents do you provide with the order?
A: Each shipment includes: (1) original mill certificate of NFPA 701 / BS 5867 compliance with test data, (2) permanent IFR labels sewn into each curtain, (3) state fire marshal registration certificates where applicable. All documents are kept on file for future re-orders and inspections.
Q: 9.What are your payment terms?
A: Trial orders: 100% T/T. Regular orders: 30% deposit before production, 70% balance before shipment. L/C at sight available for orders over $10,000. Net 30 terms available for long-term partners with established credit.
Q: 10. What is your production lead time?
A: Stock fabrics + standard sizes: 10–15 days. Custom colors or large-scale projects: 25–40 days. Rush orders available on request (surcharge may apply). Exact delivery timeline confirmed with proforma invoice.
