These are finished curtains: every piece is cut, sewn and finished to the opening you specify, then delivered ready to hang - not fabric by the roll. Two properties(flame retartant and soundproof)are built in as standard. The heading can be specified to suit the venue and the way the set is used: tie straps, hook and loop fastening tape, hooks and rings, a rod pocket, or a track-mounted heading with panels. That flexibility is what allows the same curtain range to serve exhibitions, sports halls and stages, from a backdrop that goes up and comes down in a morning to a full stage set that opens and closes in performance.

Flame Retardancy

The flame performance of a theatrical curtain starts with the fabric itself. The curtains are woven from heavy, densely constructed velvet-type yarns, and flame-retardantcy treatment performance is applied through the finishing processyarn spinning processing so the protection sits within the cloth rather than on its surface. This makes the fabric has inherently flame retardant effect and the effect will not reduce after washed.This construction is chosen because the dense weave slows the passage of air through the fabric, supporting the flame-retardant chemistry instead of relying on it alone.

A theater curtain behaves as a large absorber. Heavy, densely woven fabric is porous at the surface, so sound energy enters the cloth instead of reflecting straight back into the hall, while the deep, regular pleats hold air between the fabric and the wall. That combination - porous material plus a trapped cavity - is what reduces reflected sound rather than only blocking it.

How much absorption a curtain contributes depends on how it is made up and hung: pleat density, the amount of fabric gathered into the track, the depth of the folds, and the distance between the fabric and the wall all influence the result, as does the proportion of the room's surfaces the curtains cover. In practice these variables are used to shape reverberation time and improve speech intelligibility in halls that would otherwise sound harsh.

Because the curtain set is made to order, fabric and pleat ratio can be adjusted to the requirement of the project's acoustic consultant, and coordinated acoustic testing can be arranged so the specified configuration is verified rather than assumed.

The following are the ISO354 acoustic test report of our 22oz(420gsm) and 25oz(480gsm) IFR Theatrical Fabric:

420gsm velvet: Average sound absorption coefficient 0.82, Noise Reduction Coefficient NRC 0.90, Weighted sound absorption coefficient αw 0.85(H). Class B

480gsm velour: Average sound absorption coefficient 0.87, Noise Reduction Coefficient NRC 0.95, Weighted sound absorption coefficient αw 0.95. Class A
