1. East Window:
As the sun rises in the east, the windows of the rooms on the east side can quickly gather a large amount of light, and heat energy can also quickly spread through the metal frames of the windows. Therefore, it is best for the curtains on the east side to provide a soft light for the owner who wakes up in the morning. If you choose an east facing layout, you may choose vertical curtains with a soft texture, which can allow the owner to enjoy the first ray of beautiful sunshine of the day through elegant colors and soft lighting.
2. South window:
The southern window provides ample natural light throughout the year and is the most important source of natural light in the room. However, in the hot summer, sunlight containing sufficient heat and ultraviolet rays becomes somewhat redundant. Therefore, it is best for the curtains in the south to provide sun protection and UV protection.
3. West Window:
Blinds, organ curtains, pleated curtains, wooden curtains. In summer, sun exposure at night can increase the temperature in the room. So the windows on the west side should be frequently closed or covered, and curtains that can diffuse light sources and block ultraviolet rays can be used as much as possible to provide some protection for furniture. Blinds, organ curtains, pleated curtains, wooden curtains, or specially treated fabric curtains are all good choices.
4. North Window:
Italian Roman curtain experts suggest that fabric vertical curtains, thinner translucent organ curtains, and roller blinds are more suitable for use in northern windows. If the light enters the home from the north, it will appear very uniform and bright, making it one of the most charming natural light sources. Therefore, it is best to choose high transparency curtains for the north window, and avoid using thick and dark curtains.
